Creating new services or devices and seeing your ideas become tangible meaningful tools is fulfilling. During the last several months I have been working on various projects, and it seems as though the long hours spent designing coding, and planning are beginning to pay off.
The month of January has been very good to me, and I guess this is fitting as my birthday falls on January 23rd. Not only have I made meaningful contacts in the start-up and vc community, but I have also been learning more about business in my "Innovations to Start-ups" special topics course headed by distinguished professor Merrick Furst.
I will be competing in the Inventure Prize Competition on January 26th.
The InVenture Prize @ Georgia Tech is an innovation competition for undergraduate students at Georgia Tech. Students can work independently or in teams to develop and present inventions, which will be judged by an expert panel. The competitors will introduce their inventions in a preliminary round, out of which the top 10% of finalists will advance to a final round.
I have been working on my pitch. Basically, I pitch everybody with a free ear and no means of escape. I judge their reactions to certain phrases, my inflections, eye contact and also the my effectiveness in getting my point across. I've also been working on different variations to accommodate various audiences and length requirements.
Hoping for the best, and getting ready for the week ahead.

Before everything else, getting ready is the secret to success.
